Beacham planned a surprise proposal for Ashley during a trip to Paso Robles while they were visiting from Florida for work. Ashley knew they were going on a tour at Halter Ranch, but she had no idea the day would end with a proposal at the Ancestor Tree, followed by tastings and portraits at Lion’s Ridge.


From the start, the goal was simple: keep the experience natural, keep the surprise intact, and let the day unfold in a way that felt effortless.

At the end of January, the setting was crisp, clean, and beautifully understated—exactly the kind of backdrop that lets the moment speak for itself.


When Beacham proposed, Ashley was genuinely, completely surprised. The reaction was immediate and unmistakable—the kind you can see in the photos without needing any explanation. That split second of disbelief, the emotion, the excitement, the “is this really happening?” expression—it was all there.

After the proposal, we headed to Lion’s Ridge for tastings and portraits—a perfect transition from the emotion of the “yes” into the celebration that followed.
